At the beginning, Hakme delivered a speech in which he welcomed the Patriarch Rahi, and he pointed out that the Lebanese Diaspora was and will remain under the national and spiritual umbrella of Bkirki, hoping from the political officials to agree quickly on the law for the parliamentary elections and to hold them on time in order to preserve the Lebanese constitutional institutions.

He stressed that “in spite of all the difficulties and problems happening in Lebanon, we are attached to our country, and we will adhere to it and work for its sovereignty and the dignity of its people and for the peace in it”.

Then the Patriarch delivered his speech, stressing the importance of opening the Church to different religions and Lebanese parties in order to keep Bkirki’s roof over various components of society.

He also called for the formation of cabinet in Lebanon as soon as possible, urging politicians not to jeopardize the country’s future.

At the end, Hakme presented a memorial gift to Cardinal Rahi.
