Visit of the WLCU World President Mr. Alejandro Kuri Pheres to San Francisco – 4 to 6 September 2015

The World President of the World Lebanese Cultural Union (WLCU), Mr. Alejandro Kuri Pheres, visited the city of San Francisco following a special invitation by president of WLCU San Francisco chapter. The World President arrived from Mexico City last Friday on 4 September 2015, with his wife Nancy, and stayed till Sunday 6 September 2015.

Mr. Alejandro Kuri Pheres, attended the Bay Area Lebanese festival organized by Our Lady of Lebanon where he met with Father John Nahal, Mr. Jeffrey Gee, Mayor of Redwood City and the distinguished members of the Lebanese community in the Bay Area.

 

On Sunday, the WP attended a mass at our lady of Lebanon church in Millbrae, followed by a meeting with the WLCU chapter’s Board Members Tony Hatem, Marcelle Selim, Fouad Tabsharani, Joseph Abboud, Anwar Keneicer and Vera Hatem .

 

The WLCU – SF chapter organized a dinner reception in honor of the president.

The dinner was attended by prominent business people from the Lebanese community and members of the WLCU. Khalil Kuri Hanna made a brief welcome to the president and a brief introduction about him to the attendees. The World president delivered a short speech highlighting the mission of the WLCU and the role it is playing to connect the Lebanese Diaspora to the Motherland.
