Argentina – 75th Lebanese independence Celebration

BUENOS AIRES:

The 4th edition of Buenos Aires Celebra was held on November 4
Lebanon, under the organization of UCAL and JUCAL Bs.As. filling the iconic avenue of
May with aromas, flavors, music and Lebanese culture.
A stage was set up next to the Cabildo, where more than 300 artists passed,
with the participation of dancers and dance companies from all over Argentina,
like the Ballet Firqat al Arz de Rosario, the ballet of the Libanés Club Firqat Tanourinne, group
Millenary, and towards the closing of the event the Ikram Ballet of the Lebanese Syrian Society of
Cordova. In this scenario, the protocolary act was held, with the presence of the
Mr. Johnny Ibrahim Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Lebanon, who
He gave a speech to all of the present.

During the course of the shows, the participants could visit the 35
stands arranged along the avenue, facing the stage. Where you could enjoy
a wide gastronomic offer, from shawarma, to Sfijas, kebbe, falafel,
baklawa; and also of typical products and clothing. But that was not all, too
It was attended by institutional and cultural stands.

JUCAL Bs.As. proposed the challenge of putting together a Cultural Stand, with the exhibition
of traditional Lebanese objects, musical instruments, books, furniture and
typical decorations. There was another sector with information about Lebanon and its history,
most influential musicians, tourist sites and typical gastronomy. And in another part of it
stand, a living room was set up, where visitors could wear tunics and clothes
typical and take photographs, in order to bring them even closer to Lebanon. Boys
belonging to the JUCAL were advising and resolving concerns of those who
they passed by in the course of the day.

Towards the end of Buenos Aires Celebra, a stage was deployed from the stage
Lebanese flag 30 meters long that was carried by those present by the
avenue, finally a round of massive dabke was formed, where they participated
dancers, spectators, adults, youth and children.
We live a real party, we live Lebanon in the city.

 

ROSARIO:

Between November 9 and 20, the 34th edition of the Encuentro y Fiesta Nacional de Colectividades was held in Rosario, Argentina. This popular festival is the most important in Rosario and the region, where more than 20 countries of the 5 continents show with music, dance, traditional clothing and gastronomy a great part of their culture.

During these days, some 800,000 people attended this festivity in the National Flag Park, with the participation of several renowned artists and the election of the Ambassador and the Ambassador of Communities.
The Lebanon was present with its typical stand of all years, being one of the most popular and recognized, for its large number of descendants and lovers of culture of this great country.

For its part and as every year, the Youth participated actively throughout the event, from the organization and assembly of the stand, being present in the office of drinks, with a new photocabin with elements of the Lebanese culture, in the sale of crafts and desserts, and with our own cultural space of tattoos in Henna.

El pasado 4 de noviembre se realizó la octava edición del Buenos Aires Celebra
Líbano, bajo la organización de UCAL y JUCAL Bs.As. colmando la icónica avenida de
Mayo de aromas, sabores, música y cultura libanesa.
Se montó un escenario junto al Cabildo, por donde pasaron más de 300 artistas,
con la participación de bailarines y compañías de danza provenientes de toda Argentina,
como el Ballet Firqat al Arz de Rosario, el ballet del Club Libanés Firqat Tanourinne, grupo
Milenaria, y hacia el cierre del evento el Ballet Ikram de la Sociedad Sirio Libanesa de
Córdoba. En dicho escenario se realizó el acto protocolar, contando con la presencia del
Señor Johnny Ibrahim Embajador extraordinario y plenipotenciario del Líbano, quien
pronunció un discurso para todos los presentes.

Durante el transcurso de los espectáculos, los concurrentes podían visitar los 35
stands dispuestos a lo largo de la Avenida, frente al escenario. Donde se pudo disfrutar de
una amplia propuesta gastronómica, desde shawarma, hasta Sfijas, kebbe, falafel,
baklawa; y también de los productos típicos y vestimenta. Pero eso no fue todo, también
se contó con la presencia de stands institucionales y culturales.

JUCAL Bs.As. se propuso el desafío de armar un Stand Cultural, con la exposición
de objetos tradicionales libaneses, instrumentos musicales, libros, mobiliario y
decoraciones típicas. Se contó con otro sector con información sobre Líbano y su historia,
músicos más influyentes, sitios turísticos y gastronomía típica. Y en otra parte del mismo
stand, se ambientó un living, donde los visitantes podían vestir túnicas y vestimentas
típicas y sacarse fotografías, con el fin de acercarlos aún más al Líbano. Los chicos
pertenecientes a la JUCAL estuvieron asesorando y saldando inquietudes de quienes
pasaban por allí en el transcurrir de la jornada.

Hacia el final del Buenos Aires Celebra, se desplegó desde el escenario una
bandera del Líbano de 30 metros de largo que fue llevada por los presentes por la
avenida, por último se formó una ronda de dabke multitudinario, donde participaron
bailarines, espectadores, adultos, jóvenes y niños.
Vivimos una verdadera fiesta, vivimos el Líbano en la ciudad.

ROSARIO:

Entre el 9 y el 20 de Noviembre se celebró en Rosario, Argentina la 34ª  edición del Encuentro y Fiesta Nacional de Colectividades. Esta fiesta popular es la más importante de Rosario y la región, donde más de 20 países de los 5 continentes muestran con música, danzas, vestimentas tradicionales y gastronomía gran parte de su cultura.

Durante estos días, unas 800.000 personas asistieron a esta festividad en el Parque Nacional a la Bandera, con la participación de varios artistas de renombre y la elección del embajador y la embajadora de Colectividades.
El Líbano se hizo presente con su stand típico de todos los años, siendo uno de los más concurridos y reconocidos, por su gran cantidad de descendientes y amantes de la cultura de este gran país. 

Por su parte y como todos los años, la Juventud participó activamente durante todo el evento, desde la organización y armado del stand, estando presente en el despacho de bebidas, con una nueva fotocabina con elementos propios de la cultura libanesa, en la venta de artesanías y postres, y con nuestro propio espacio cultural de tatuajes en Henna.
