World Lebanese Cultural Union
The World Lebanese Cultural Union and the World Council for Youth invite you to participate in the Youth trip and congress organized by the WLCU for young men and women of Lebanese descendents from all continents which will take place in Lebanon from 16 to 26 August 2013 (11 days).
Please find below the preliminary related information, and we will update you with all news respectively:
– Participants must have an age between 18 years old (Completed) and 35 years old.
– The arrival to Lebanon will be on Friday 16 August 2013 and the departure will be on Monday 26 August 2013.
– For those willing to stay in Lebanon for a time that extends the period of this visit should note that their stay will be on their own responsibility.
– Participants will stay in the Monastery of Our Lady of the mountain (Hotel – Hospitality House) in Fatka – Kesrouan which is under great management. Fetka is located next to Adma in a quiet area, good view & climate. For more information, please visit www.ndmont.com
o After our discussions and the agreement with the executive management of the hotel – Monastery of Our Lady of the Mountain, and in order for the date to be suitable for the biggest number of participants, we agreed on the visit to be from 16 to 26 August 2012.
o Every two young men or two young women will be sharing one Double Room with two beds, bathroom, TV, etc
o Breakfast and dinner will be served in the residency place.
o Participants will tour the historical and tourism areas of Lebanon for a period of seven days and they will have lunch at a restaurant in each of these areas. (Details and specifics will be provided before the date of the visit).
o During this visit, the World Council for Youth will hold a World Congress for 2 days in the conference room of their residency place.
– The dues on each chapter and each participant in this visit are as follows:
o Each participant will only require buying a 2 way ticket including an insurance policy to cover the full period of stay in Lebanon.
o Regional Councils, National Councils and chapters should cooperate to provide the 500 USD required from each participant to cover some expenses such as transportations, accommodations, foods, etc where the participants only pay for their ticket.
o To provide the 500 USD, chapters can perform a dedicated fundraising event to support this visit. And, if there’s a difficulty to do a fundraising, it is recommended to find a sponsor for each participant who is willing to cover the 500 USD.
o We will work on providing the remaining expenses.
– We would like to inform you that young men and women from several universities in Lebanon will be invited to participate in the congress, which will be held for 2 days.
