“Feed the Hungry” Initiative in Lebanon

Feed the Hungry in Lebanon is an initiative aimed at helping alleviate hunger for needy families in Lebanon through the donation of mouneh boxes, or food care packages.
The initiative is driven by a team of associations from Lebanon and California composed of the Lebanese Food Bank, the LA Cedars Rotary Club, LA-Beirut Sister Cities, the WLCU through the WLCU California State Chapter, and Rotary clubs from all around Lebanon including the Beirut Cedar Rotary Club and the Rotary Club of Tripoli.

Donations are being received from all over the world to raise funds for food care packages. Each food care package costs 35 USD and feeds a family of four for one month! These packages are put together by the Lebanese Food Bank and delivered to families in dire need by both the Lebanese Food Bank and the Rotary clubs in Lebanon. More than 4.000 packages have been delivered!

All recommended safety precautions are being taken with respect to the COVID-19 pandemic, as all items in the packages, the boxes, vehicles and warehouses are frequently sanitized.
