La Convención: Acapulco 2022

anos de Ascendencia Libanesa – JOMALI, tiene como objetivo unir con lazos de amistad a todos los jóvenes paisanos, honrando a México, conservando y fomentando las costumbres, tradiciones y cultura que los emigrantes libaneses trajeron a México.
Para no perder este objetivo, una vez al año, JOMALI organiza una convención que consiste en reunir a los jóvenes en alguna ciudad del país, cambiando la locación cada año, en donde se tienen actividades para conocer nuevas personas o fortalecer la amistad que ya tengan, de este modo, seguir conservando nuestras tradiciones y costumbres y poder expandirlo hacia las nuevas generaciones que se van uniendo a esta familia.
El pasado mes de junio del presente año, se llevó a cabo la convención en la ciudad de Acapulco. Siendo un reencuentro muy esperado, ya que debido a la pandemia, se pospuso la convención dos años consecutivos, así que todos esperaban esta reunión con mucha alegría y entusiasmo.
A la convención asistieron más de 100 jóvenes de distintas ciudades y de igual forma, se contó con la grata presencia de paisanos chilenos, que pudieron conocer un poco de nuestras tierras y que pudieron formar una linda amistad con gente que comparte la misma cultura.
En la primera noche de la convención, se hizo una cena de inauguración donde se presentan los integrantes de la actual Mesa Directiva, se cantan los himnos mexicano, libanés y de JOMALI y se presentan las actividades que se llevarán a cabo los días posteriores, además de que, una vez finalizada esta parte, se empieza la convivencia entre todos los jóvenes.
Para el segundo día, se realizaron juegos en la playa, en donde cada uno de los jóvenes tenía una pulsera de distinto color, esto permitió que se formaran grupos y así pudieran conocer más entre todos; una vez logrado esto, la convivencia continuó en la playa y en las instalaciones del hotel. Por la noche, se programó una salida a la disco para poder vivir otra experiencia típica de Acapulco, una noche de fiesta, en un lugar abierto con la hermosa vista hacia la bahía.
En el tercer día, se tomó un tour en un catamarán, que daba recorrido por la bahía de Acapulco y sus lugares más turísticos. Los jóvenes no perdieron la oportunidad de seguir haciendo actividades que les permitía seguir conociéndose entre todos y fortaleciendo sus amistades.
Al finalizar el día, se tuvo la última cena, la cena de gala con temática Black & White, en donde se cerraría la convención haciendo un recuento de todo lo vivido y además, como cada año, se otorgan premios para resaltar las cualidades de algunos convencionistas y también pasar un momento de risas. Terminando esta parte, la cena se presta a una fiesta final, para compartir los últimos momentos juntos.
Pero todo eso, no queda sólo ahí, porque el propósito es no perder esos lazos y, aunque haya sido cuestión de días, pasada la convención, se hace una post convención, con el propósito de no perder ese entusiasmo y no perder las nuevas amistades. Siendo un fin de semana con diversas actividades que permite que se vuelvan a reunir los jóvenes que fueron a la convención y hasta aquellos que no tuvieron la oportunidad de ir.
Con todo esto, JOMALI trabaja año con año, teniendo delegados en distintas ciudades para seguir conectando con todos los jóvenes y de este modo, poder reunirlos a todos en una convención anual.

The Convention: Acapulco 2022
The National Union of Young Mexicans of Lebanese Descent – JOMALI, aims to unite all the youth with bonds of friendship, honoring Mexico, preserving and promoting the traditions and culture that Lebanese emigrants brought to Mexico.
In order to fulfill this goal, once a year, JOMALI organizes a convention that consists of bringing together young people in a city, changing the location every year, where they have activities to meet new people and strengthen the friendship they already have. In this way, to continue preserving our traditions and customs and to be able to expand it towards the new generations.
Last June of this year, the convention was held in Acapulco, Guerrero, being a long-awaited reunion, since due to the pandemic, the convention was postponed two consecutive years, so everyone was waiting for this meeting with great anticipation, joy and enthusiasm.
The convention was attended by more than 100 young people from different cities and in the same way, there was the pleasant presence of Chilean countrymen, who were able to learn a little about our lands and who were able to form a beautiful friendship with people who share the same culture.
On the first night of the convention, an opening dinner was held where the members of the current Board of Directors were introduced, the Mexican, Lebanese and JOMALI hymns were sung and the activities that would take place the following days were presented, in addition to that, once this part is finished, coexistence among all the young people begins.
For the second day, games were held on the beach, where each of the young people had a different colored bracelet, this allowed groups to be formed. Once this was achieved, the coexistence continued on the beach and in the hotel facilities. At night, an outing to the disco was scheduled to be able to live another typical Acapulco experience, a party night, in an open space with a beautiful view of the bay.
On the third day, a tour was taken on a catamaran, which toured the bay of Acapulco and its most touristic places. The young people did not miss the opportunity to continue doing activities that allowed them to continue getting to know each other and strengthening their friendships.
At the end of the day, the last dinner was held, the Black & White themed gala dinner, where the convention would close by recounting everything that had been experienced and also, like every year, prizes are awarded to highlight the qualities of some conventionists
and also spend a moment of laughter. Finishing this part, the dinner lends itself to a final party, to share the last moments together.
But all of that does not stop there, because the purpose is not to lose those ties and, although it has been a matter of days, after the convention, a post-convention is held, with the purpose of not losing that enthusiasm and not losing new friendships. . Being a weekend with various activities that allows young people who went to the convention to meet again and even those who did not have the opportunity to go.
With all this, JOMALI works year after year, having delegates in different cities to continue connecting with all young people and thus be able to bring them all together in an annual convention.
