{"id":22565,"date":"2018-10-01T03:57:21","date_gmt":"2018-10-01T00:57:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wlcu.world\/ng\/?p=22565"},"modified":"2018-10-01T04:11:12","modified_gmt":"2018-10-01T01:11:12","slug":"wall-painting-in-uruguay-done","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wlcu.world\/ng\/22565\/","title":{"rendered":"Wall Painting in Uruguay, done!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Montevideo, Uruguay<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Espa\u00f1ol:<\/p>\n<p>Es para nosotros un honor haber podido terminar de pintar el muro de las Escuelas \u201c<strong>Rep\u00fablica Libanesa<\/strong>\u201d y \u201c<strong>Gibran Khalil Gibran<\/strong>\u201d el pasado 1\u00b0 de Septiembre, d\u00e1ndole fin a esta actividad integrada en nuestro <span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">proyecto<\/span> \u201c<strong>Dejando Huella<\/strong>\u201d que busca dejar nuestra huella y la de toda la colectividad, de una u otra forma, en nuestro pa\u00eds, pudiendo brindar alegr\u00eda a todos los alumnos y personal de las escuelas.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-22568 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/wlcu.world\/ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/ajul-2-people.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"647\" height=\"411\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wlcu.world\/ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/ajul-2-people.png 647w, https:\/\/wlcu.world\/ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/ajul-2-people-300x191.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 647px) 100vw, 647px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>En este muro nuestro fin era plasmar <strong>L\u00edbano<\/strong>, optando por pintar las monta\u00f1as caracter\u00edsticas y muchos cedros, enmarcados en dos franjas rojas y sobre un fondo blanco, como en la bandera libanesa, sin dejar nuestra propia huella con un cedro m\u00e1s grande y la firma de <strong>AJUL.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Por otro lado, este pasado mi\u00e9rcoles 12 de Septiembre, tuvimos el honor de recibir al destacado <strong>Sergio Jalil<\/strong>, director de CELIBAL (Centro de Estudios Libaneses para Am\u00e9rica Latina), en una actividad organizada junto con la Uni\u00f3n Libanesa Cultural Mundial en Uruguay, contando tambi\u00e9n con la presencia de Susana Mangana, Profesora del Departamento de Humanidades, Responsable del Programa de Pol\u00edtica Internacional y especialista en Estudios \u00e1rabes e isl\u00e1micos de la Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Uruguay.<\/p>\n<p>El fin de la actividad fue poder informarnos acerca de la <span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">situaci\u00f3n<\/span> actual de L\u00edbano, adentrarnos un poco m\u00e1s en el sistema pol\u00edtico y en los cambios que ha habido en el mismo, profundiz\u00e1ndonos en el funcionamiento de la sociedad libanesa y en el estado actual de la regi\u00f3n para poder entender c\u00f3mo afecta a L\u00edbano lo que sucede a su alrededor. Sin lugar a dudas fue una <strong>experiencia<\/strong> sumamente enriquecedora para todos nosotros, compartiendo el amor a ese cedro que a todos nos une.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-22566 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/wlcu.world\/ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Ajul-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"563\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wlcu.world\/ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Ajul-1.png 750w, https:\/\/wlcu.world\/ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Ajul-1-300x225.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>English:<\/p>\n<p>It is an honor for us to have finished painting the wall of the Schools &#8220;<strong>Lebanese Republic<\/strong>&#8221; and &#8220;<strong>Gibran Khalil Gibran<\/strong>&#8221; this past 1st of September, ending this work integrated in our <span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">project<\/span> &#8220;<strong>Leaving a Mark<\/strong>&#8221; that seeks to leave our mark and that of the whole community, in one way or another, in our country, being able to bring joy to all the students and staff of the schools.<\/p>\n<p>On this wall our goal was to capture <strong>Lebanon<\/strong>, choosing to paint the characteristic mountains and many cedars, framed in two red stripes and on a white background, as in the Lebanese flag, leaving our own mark with a larger cedar and our signature.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, this past Wednesday, September 12, we had the honor of receiving the distinguished <strong>Sergio Jalil<\/strong>, director of CELIBAL (Center for Lebanese Studies for Latin America), in an activity organized together with the World Lebanese Cultural Union in Uruguay, also with the presence of Susana Mangana, Professor of the Department of Humanities, Head of the International Policy Program and specialist in Arabic and Islamic Studies at the Catholic University of Uruguay.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-22567 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/wlcu.world\/ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Ajul-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"563\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wlcu.world\/ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Ajul-2.png 750w, https:\/\/wlcu.world\/ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Ajul-2-300x225.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the activity was to inform us about the current <span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">situation<\/span> in Lebanon, to delve a little deeper into the political system and the changes that have taken place in it, deepening the functioning of Lebanese society and the current state of the region to understand how <strong>Lebanon<\/strong> is affected by what happens in the region.
