The Association Reconstruire Ensemble (which has a convention of cultural cooperation with the World Cultural Commission (WCC) – WLCU) started a cultural tour in East Bekaa on Sunday, October 7, 2018 as part of the axis Know the other for a better Living Together. The participants numbered 75 have met the people of East Bekaa, who are distinguished by their generosity, kindness and openness. Mr. Haissam Al-Hajali and Ms. Joumana Harakeh of Reconstruire Ensemble organized this cultural day in cooperation with the \"\"municipalities of the regions and in coordination with P. Maroun Atallah and Dr. Christiane Saliba.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first stage of the day took place in the city of Dahr al-Ahmar where the group was welcomed by Mr. Ghaleb Bahmad, head of the municipality, the members of the city council, the Mayor (Mokhtar) and the father Wassim Abu Kasm. The president of the \"\"association “Reconstruire Ensemble”, \"\"Lawyer Rachid Al-Jalkh stressed the importance of this visit. Father Maroun Atallah praised the efforts of the head of the municipality to keep living together. The group accepted the Municipality\u2019s Chief invitation to do a common prayer in the village’s St Georges Church, abandoned by his emigrated parishioners.\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Hani Raad, General Secretary of the Association offers the Oriental Heritage Collection to the Chief of the Municipality. Dr. Christiane Saliba, head of the Reconstruire \"\"Ensemble book axis (and Chair of the WCC – WLCU) offered on behalf of the association a trophy to the head of the Municipality and to the residents of Dahr al- Ahmar.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\"\"A common prayer is held at St George’s Church with the village priest. It should be noted that a noble “Mouwahed” Monotheist Druze village has restored the church and the bell while the last Christian had already emigrated and left the village for several years<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"The visit to the religious site of the Druze monotheists \u201cSitt Sarah\u201d followed and Dr. Mounir Mouhanna provided the group with the necessary historical and religious explanations.\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Then, the group was welcomed by former MP Mr. Fayssal AL Daoud and his wife Mrs. Wafa Abdel Karim, the head of the women’s association of Rashaya and West Bekaa at their\"\" \"\"residence in Rashaya. She did a presentation of the various activities of her association to build skills among women and young people in the region. A trophy was offered to Ms. Abdel Karim by Ms. Joumana Harakeh of Reconstruire Ensemble.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nThe group continued his periple to Mr. Nabih Abu Hajali’s Molasses factory to discover the manufacture of grape-molasses, apple molasses, \"\"
\nlocal specialties before visiting the Rashaya handicraft market on the occasion of the molasses festival “Debs” (more than 4000 visitors).<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Subsequently, the group stopped at the \u201cwish tree\u201d, a historical tree of piety and meditation, where Mr. Shawki Dalal honored Father Maroun Atallah on behalf of the collective of Lebanese cultural associations for his spiritual cultural and social activities and accomplishments.\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

The next stage of the trip was to the Municipality of Aiha who organized a big reception in honor of the group presented by the journalist Jamal Al Barkachi. The head of the Municipality of Aiha Mr. Fadel Al Sakaan and his deputy Mr. Hafez Hommos welcomed the group in the presence of religious and civil figures, mayors of the region, religious sheikhs and Father Andr\u00e9 Sh\u00e9had\u00e9.<\/p>\n

The speeches of the chief of the Municipality of Aiha, Sheikh Soulaiman Al Qadamani, Fr. Maroun Atallah, the Lawyer Rachid AlJalkh and the poet Jaoudat Zgheib followed one another. An overview of awareness on road safety was given by Mr. Mohammad Almajzoub and on the pollution of the Litani River by Lawyer Ali ElKAK.\"\"

Dr. Hani Raad offers the Oriental Heritage collection of books and Engineer Fadi Saliba a tribute trophy on behalf of Reconstruire Ensemble to the chief of the municipality, his deputy, council members and residents of Aiha.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"A visit to St Michael Church in Aiha was organized jointly with the Municipality and the \"\"priest to consolidate the living together. It should be noted that the population of Aiha is composed of Monotheists Druzes and Greek Orthodox Christians immigrated mostly to Brazil and with whom the municipality always maintains regular links.<\/span><\/p>\n

This cultural day of living together was crowned by the region\u2019s residents request to work together on the restoration of what was destroyed by the war and the successive emigrations, to promote unity and help this region to always remain the symbol of coexistence and living together in Lebanon.<\/span><\/p>\n

L\u2019Association Reconstruire Ensemble (qui a une convention de coop\u00e9ration culturelle avec la commission culturelle mondiale (CCM) de l\u2019ULCM) a entam\u00e9 une tourn\u00e9e culturelle dans la Bekaa-Est le dimanche 7 octobre 2018 dans le cadre de l\u2019axe du travail Conna\u00eetre l\u2019autre pour un meilleur Vivre Ensemble. Les participants \u00e9taient au nombre de 75 et ont rencontr\u00e9 les habitants de la Bekaa Est, qui se distinguent par leur g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9, leur bont\u00e9 et leur ouverture. M. Haissam Al-Hajali et Mme Joumana Harakeh de Reconstruire Ensemble ont organis\u00e9 cette journ\u00e9e culturelle en coop\u00e9ration avec les municipalit\u00e9s des r\u00e9gions et en coordination avec des responsables de l’association P. Maroun Atallah et Dr. Christiane Saliba.\"\"<\/p>\n

La premi\u00e8re \u00e9tape du p\u00e9riple eut lieu dans la ville de Dahr al-Ahmar o\u00f9 le groupe fut accueilli par M. Ghaleb Bahmad, chef de la municipalit\u00e9, les membres du conseil municipal, le Maire (Mokhtar) et le p\u00e8re Wassim Abu Kasm. Le pr\u00e9sident de l’association “Reconstruire ensemble”, Ma\u00eetre Rachid Al-Jalkh a soulign\u00e9 l’importance de cette visite. Le p\u00e8re Maroun Atallah a lou\u00e9 les efforts du chef de la Municipalit\u00e9 pour maintenir le vivre ensemble. Le groupe accepta l’invitation de ce dernier pour faire une pri\u00e8re \u0153cum\u00e9nique dans l\u2019\u00e9glise St Georges du Village, abandonn\u00e9e par ses paroissiens partis dans les pays de l\u2019\u00e9migration. Dr. Hani Raad Secr\u00e9taire G\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l\u2019association offre les livres de la Collection du Patrimoine Oriental au chef de la Municipalit\u00e9. Dr. Christiane Saliba, responsable de l\u2019axe du livre de Reconstruire Ensemble (et Pr\u00e9sidente de la Commission Culturelle Mondiale) a offert au nom de l\u2019association un troph\u00e9e d\u2019hommage et de remerciements au chef de la Municipalit\u00e9 et aux habitants de Dahr al-Ahmar.\"\"<\/p>\n

Une pri\u00e8re commune est tenue \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9glise St Georges avec le pr\u00eatre du village. Il faudrait noter qu\u2019un noble Monoth\u00e9iste \u00ab\u00a0Mouahed\u00a0\u00bb druze du village a restaur\u00e9 l’\u00e9glise et la cloche alors que la derni\u00e8re chr\u00e9tienne avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9migr\u00e9 et quitt\u00e9 le village depuis plusieurs ann\u00e9es<\/p>\n

\"\"La visite du site religieux des monoth\u00e9istes\u00ab\u00a0Mouahiddines\u00a0\u00bb druzes \u00ab\u00a0Sitt Sarah\u00a0\u00bb a suivi et Dr Mounir Mouhanna a fourni au groupe les explications historiques et religieuses n\u00e9cessaires.<\/p>\n

\"\"Ensuite, le groupe a \u00e9t\u00e9 accueilli par l\u2019ex-d\u00e9put\u00e9 M. Fayssal AL Daoud et son \u00e9pouse Mme Wafa Abdel Karim la responsable de l\u2019association des dames de Rachaya et de la Bekaa Ouest \u00e0 leur r\u00e9sidence de Rachaya. Elle fit un expos\u00e9 des diverses activit\u00e9s de son association pour le renforcement des comp\u00e9tences chez les femmes et les jeunes de la r\u00e9gion. Un troph\u00e9e d\u2019hommage a \u00e9t\u00e9 offert \u00e0 Mme Abdel Karim par Mme Joumana Harakeh de Reconstruire Ensemble.<\/p>\n

\"\"\"\"Le groupe s\u2019est dirig\u00e9 en\"\"suite \u00e0 l\u2019usine de M\u00e9lasse de M.\u00a0 Nabih Abu Hajali afin de d\u00e9couvrir la fabrication de la m\u00e9lasse frapp\u00e9e aux raisins, la m\u00e9lasse aux pommes, sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9s de la r\u00e9gion avant de visiter le march\u00e9 artisanal de Rachaya \u00e0 l’occasion du festival de la M\u00e9lasse \u00ab\u00a0Debs<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb (plus de 4000 visiteurs).<\/p>\n

Par la suite, le groupe s\u2019est arr\u00eat\u00e9 \u00e0 l’arbre des v\u0153ux<\/strong>, arbre historique de pi\u00e9t\u00e9 et de m\u00e9ditation, o\u00f9 M. Shawki Dalal a rendu hommage au P\u00e8re Maroun Atallah au nom du collectif des associations culturelles libanaises pour son parcours spirituel, culturel et social.<\/p>\n

\"\"L\u2019\u00e9tape suivante du p\u00e9riple fut \u00e0 la Municipalit\u00e9 de Aiha qui organisa une grande r\u00e9ception en l\u2019honneur du groupe pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e par le journaliste Jamal Al Barkachi. Le chef de la Municipalit\u00e9 de Aiha M. Fadel Al Sakaan et son adjoint M. Cette journ\u00e9e culturelle du vivre ensemble fut couronn\u00e9e par l\u2019appel des habitants de la r\u00e9gion \u00e0 rester en lien pour travailler ensemble la restauration de ce qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9truit par la guerre et les \u00e9migrations successives afin de favoriser l\u2019unit\u00e9 et aider cette r\u00e9gion \u00e0 rester toujours le symbole de la coexistence et du vivre ensemble au Liban.<\/p>\n
