During the month of June, a delegation of the WLCU comprised of World Secretary General, Mr. Roger Hani, WLCU Youth President, Mr. Sergio de los R\u00edos Feghali, and WLCU Youth Secretary General, Ms. Christina Salamy, visited Lebanon with the objective of finalizing details for the LEBolution 2019. The third edition of LEBolution, the WLCU Youth\u2019s World Conference, will take place July 21st<\/sup> and August 1st<\/sup> of this year.<\/p>\n

Continuing a collaborative effort that has been in place since the beginnings of LEBolution, the first visits and communications upon the WLCU\u2019s delegation\u2019s arrival to Lebanon were to the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Culture in order to guarantee a fruitful program for the 200 youth that will be attending this summer. The country\u2019s main cultural and touristic venues will, of course, be visited throughout the program: Jeita Grotto, the Baalbek ruins, Beiteddine\u2026the list continues!<\/p>\n

Visits to various municipalities were held by the delegation, confirming the help and support from all regions of the country; from the north to the south, and from the valleys and the mountains: Byblos, Dhour Shweir, Ghazir, Marjeyoun, Saida, Tripoli, Tyre, Zahle, and many others.<\/p>\n

WLCU officials Mr. Elie Eid, President of the WLCU National Council of Cyprus, and Mr. Najib Khoury, WLCU Vice President, welcomed the delegation in their homes, demonstrating their excitement and support towards the upcoming edition of Lebolution.<\/p>\n

The delegation for LEBolution 2019 also visited some members of Parliament in a message of cooperation for our emigration in the world. MP Taymour Beik Jumblatt opened his home in Moukhtara and was happy to receive the WLCU youth in the Chouf area, and MP Alexandre Matossian assisted in setting up a special visit to the Armenian communities in Lebanon in order for the Lebolutioners to explore and get a feel of the Armenian culture in Lebanon.<\/p>\n

But meetings were not held solely with municipality officials and members of Parliament. The delegation had the pleasure of meeting with representatives from the Lebanese American University (LAU) and from the Hariri Foundation, holding discussions regarding activities and support for LEBolution 2019 as well as possible collaborations with the WLCU Youth and future opportunities for its members.<\/p>\n

Without a doubt, the most special and meaningful meeting of the trip was held with General Joseph Aoun of the Lebanese Army, an opportunity for the WLCU\u2019s delegation to express the support for the Army\u2019s sacrifice to the country and their daily efforts to protect its people.<\/p>\n

Durante el mes de junio, una delegaci\u00f3n de la ULCM integrada por el Secretario General Mundial, el Sr. Roger Hani, el Presidente de la Juventud, el Sr. Sergio de los R\u00edos Feghali, y la Secretaria General de la Juventud, la Srta. Christina Salamy, visit\u00f3 el L\u00edbano con el objetivo cerrar de los \u00faltimos detalles para LEBolution 2019. La tercera edici\u00f3n de LEBolution, la Conferencia Mundial de la Juventud de la ULCM, tendr\u00e1 lugar el 21 de julio y el 1 de agosto de este a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n

Continuando la colaboraci\u00f3n que ha estado en marcha desde los inicios de LEBolution, las primeras visitas y comunicaciones a la llegada de la delegaci\u00f3n al L\u00edbano fueron al Ministerio de Turismo y al Ministerio de Cultura para garantizar un programa fruct\u00edfero para los 200 j\u00f3venes que asistir\u00e1n este verano. La delegaci\u00f3n realiz\u00f3 visitas a varios municipios, confirmando la ayuda y el apoyo de todas las regiones del pa\u00eds; de norte a sur, y de los valles y monta\u00f1as: Byblos, Dhour Shweir, Ghazir, Marjeyoun, Saida, Tr\u00edpoli, Tiro, Zahle y muchos otros.<\/p>\n

Adicionalmente, los oficiales de la ULCM, el Sr. Elie Eid, Presidente del Consejo Nacional de Chipre, y el Sr. Najib Khoury, Vicepresidente de la ULCM, dieron la bienvenida a la delegaci\u00f3n en sus hogares, demostrando su entusiasmo y apoyo hacia la pr\u00f3xima edici\u00f3n de LEBolution.<\/p>\n

Pero las reuniones no se llevaron a cabo \u00fanicamente con funcionarios municipales y miembros del Parlamento. La delegaci\u00f3n tuvo el placer de reunirse con representantes de la Lebanese American University (LAU) y de la Fundaci\u00f3n Hariri, sosteniendo discusiones sobre las actividades y el apoyo para LEBolution 2019, as\u00ed como posibles colaboraciones con la Juventud de la ULCM y futuras oportunidades para sus miembros.<\/p>\n

Sin lugar a dudas, la reuni\u00f3n m\u00e1s especial y significativa del viaje se llev\u00f3 a cabo con el General Joseph Aoun del Ej\u00e9rcito Liban\u00e9s, una oportunidad para que la ULCM exprese su apoyo al sacrificio del Ej\u00e9rcito en el pa\u00eds y sus esfuerzos diarios para proteger a su gente.<\/p>\n
