{"id":23519,"date":"2019-10-24T23:18:13","date_gmt":"2019-10-24T20:18:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wlcu.world\/ng\/?p=23519"},"modified":"2019-10-31T01:31:24","modified_gmt":"2019-10-30T23:31:24","slug":"wlcu-world-secretary-general-and-wlcu-youth-president-in-lebanon-october-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wlcu.world\/ng\/23519\/","title":{"rendered":"WLCU World Secretary General and WLCU Youth President in Lebanon &#8211; October 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ENGLISH<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">(Versi\u00f3n en espa\u00f1ol m\u00e1s abajo)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>WLCU World Secretary General, Mr. Roger Hani, and WLCU Youth Council President, Mr. Sergio de los R\u00edos Feghali, were present in Lebanon during the month of October visiting various government officials, universities and news agencies.<\/p>\n<p>The WLCU officials\u2019 trip began in the Tripoli Serail to thank Governor of North Lebanon, Mr. Ramzi Nohra, for his support towards this past summer\u2019s LEBolution visit to Tripoli. Governor Nohra greatly assisted with security and logistics for the LEBolution group to tour around the city and visit the Sultan Abdul Hamid clocktower, the old souks and the Citadel Raymond Saint-Gilles.<\/p>\n<p>The officials then visited the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Tripoli and North Lebanon to meet with its President, Mr. Toufic Dabbousy, and thanked him for his continuous support to the WLCU Youth and the special reception received during LEBolution 2019. The MOU is an opportunity for both institutions to discuss issues of common interest and endeavour to coordinate work programs and support mutual efforts, and focuses primarily on programs and workshops related to the Arabic language and the Lebanese dialect, and highlighting the importance of language in fostering ties between the Lebanese in Lebanon and the Lebanese abroad.<\/p>\n<p>LAU invited the WLCU officials to attend the event \u201cThe Arabic Language: Roots, forms and globalization\u201d to commemorate the World Arabic Language Day at CISH (International Centre for Human Sciences), under the auspices of UNESCO. El gobernador Nohra brind\u00f3 ayuda en t\u00e9rminos de seguridad y log\u00edstica para que el grupo LEBolution recorriera la ciudad y visitara la torre del reloj del Sult\u00e1n Abdul Hamid, los antiguos mercados y la Ciudadela Raymond Saint-Gilles.<\/p>\n<p>Luego, los oficiales visitaron la C\u00e1mara de Comercio, Industria y Agricultura de Tr\u00edpoli y el Norte del L\u00edbano para reunirse con su presidente, el Sr. Toufic Dabbousy, y le agradecieron su continuo apoyo a la Juventud ULCM y la recepci\u00f3n especial recibida durante LEBolution 2019. Laure Sleiman Saab, y el Ministro de Cultura, el Dr. Mohammad Daoud Daoud, y les presentaron reconocimientos por su constante cooperaci\u00f3n para ayudar a los libaneses en el extranjero a identificarse con su patrimonio cultural. Dina Abdul Rahman. El memorando es una oportunidad para que ambas instituciones discutan temas de inter\u00e9s com\u00fan, cooperando para coordinar programas de trabajo y apoyar esfuerzos mutuos. El acuerdo se enfoca principalmente en la elaboraci\u00f3n de programas y talleres relacionados con el idioma \u00e1rabe y el dialecto liban\u00e9s, y destacar la importancia del idioma para fomentar lazos entre los libaneses en el L\u00edbano y los libaneses en el extranjero.<\/p>\n<p>LAU invit\u00f3 a los oficiales de la WLCU a asistir al evento &#8220;La lengua \u00e1rabe: ra\u00edces, formas y globalizaci\u00f3n&#8221; para conmemorar el D\u00eda Mundial de la Lengua \u00c1rabe en CISH (Centro Internacional de Ciencias Humanas), bajo los auspicios de la UNESCO.
