Once again this year, a loaded month-long campaign in honour and commemoration of International Women\u2019s Day and Lebanese Mother\u2019s Day was constructed for March.<br \/>\nInternational Women&#8217;s Day, celebrated on March 8th, 2020, is globally recognized day to raise awareness against bias, celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, taking action towards accelerating gender parity; and Lebanese Mother\u2019s Day, a celebration on March 21st, honouring the mother of the family, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society.<br \/>\nMarch is for the Women!<\/p>\n<p>Due to the phenomenal impact of the campaign&#8217;s last edition, where #SHEis caught the attention of many influential beings including Lebanese author, journalist and women&#8217;s rights activist, Ms. Joumana Haddad, they quickly recognized that this was not only a campaign raising awareness and educating on successes and accomplishments but an initiative where the Lebanese youths voices were projected and heard throughout the world.<\/p>\n<p>This year, the campaign built together by a group of WLCUY women from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia and France, created a medley of collective historical points on women heroes dating back to the early 1900s, crediting the Hivos\u2019 NGO Women Empowered for Leadership Program and their extensive \u201cHistory of the Women&#8217;s Movement in Lebanon\u201d timeline as well as bringing the focus on empowering Lebanese women closer to home, recognizing inspirational women within our communities thanks to help of our WLCUY chapters and members who nominated an accomplished lady in their country, helping us deliver our message!<\/p>\n<p>Interested in further details on the HIVOS timeline?<br \/>\nPlease visit our amazing source at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hivos.org\/news\/hivos-timeline-highlights-unsung-women-heroes-in-lebanese-history\/\">https:\/\/www.hivos.org\/news\/hivos-timeline-highlights-unsung-women-heroes-in-lebanese-history\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>ESPA\u00d1OL<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a1La segunda edici\u00f3n de la campa\u00f1a #SHEis del Consejo Mundial de Juventud de la ULCM (WLCUY) ha concluido! Una vez m\u00e1s, se construy\u00f3 una campa\u00f1a de un mes en honor y conmemoraci\u00f3n del D\u00eda Internacional de la Mujer y el D\u00eda de la Madre Libanesa para marzo.<br \/>\nEl D\u00eda Internacional de la Mujer, celebrado el 8 de marzo de 2020, es un d\u00eda mundialmente reconocido para crear conciencia contra los prejuicios, celebrar los logros sociales, econ\u00f3micos, culturales y pol\u00edticos de las mujeres, tomar medidas para acelerar la paridad de g\u00e9nero; y el D\u00eda de la Madre del L\u00edbano, una celebraci\u00f3n el 21 de marzo, en honor a la madre de la familia, as\u00ed como a la maternidad, los lazos maternos y la influencia de las madres en la sociedad.<br \/>\n\u00a1Marzo es para las mujeres!<\/p>\n<p>Debido al impacto fenomenal de la \u00faltima edici\u00f3n de la campa\u00f1a, donde #SHEis llam\u00f3 la atenci\u00f3n de muchos seres influyentes, incluida la autora libanesa, periodista y activista por los derechos de las mujeres, la Sra.
