Dear officers and Members<\/span><\/p>\n

We are glad to announce to you that the \u201cIrish Lebanese Cultural Foundation\u201d joined the WLCU as a new chapter on January 2007.<\/span><\/p>\n

In aim to meet the chapter\u2019s members and the Lebanese Diaspora in Ireland, and in collaboration with Mr Guy Younes, the foundation\u2019s President and his team, we have the pleasure to announce to you that the next meeting of the Regional Council of Europe will take place at Bewley’s Hotel -Leopardstown Dublin (Bewleyshotels.com) on Saturday 14th of April 2007. (<\/strong>in <\/strong><\/span>the executive conference room)<\/p>\n

The World Secretary General Mr Georges Abi Raad (France),\u00a0 the World Vice President for Europe Dr Carlos Keirouz (Belgium), and the President of the Regional Council of Europe Mr Sa\u00efd Yazbeck (United Kingdom) will be attending the event.<\/span><\/p>\n

For the opening\u00a0the Lord Mayor of Dublin will be present <\/strong>and so will the\u00a0Foreign affairs Labour and FineGael members of Parliament. Other Irish Officials would be at\u00a0the opening session. d<\/span>uring which\u00a0the WLCU will grant the Irish Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Dermot Ahern the Platinum Emigrant Award <\/strong>for his role in securing the safe return of Irish Lebanese during the war on Lebanon and to rescue two young children and their grandmother from Tyre and bringing them to Ireland.<\/p>\n

Saturday Morning : Arrival to Dublin<\/span><\/p>\n

2:00 pm : opening ceremony including the Welcome word from the Hosting Chapter.<\/p>\n

Followed by the closed meeting of the Regional Council of Europe :\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

– Making knowledge with The Chapter\u2019s President and officers.<\/span><\/p>\n

– Word of the President of the Regional Council of Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n

– Word of the World President, by Dr Kairouz the World Vice-President.<\/span><\/p>\n

– Word of the Secretary General.<\/span><\/p>\n

– Report of the Regional Secretary General for Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n

– Then the reports of the attendants (Chapters Presidents and Committees).<\/span><\/p>\n

– Discussions.<\/span><\/p>\n

– Preparations for the participations to the next World Congress on May 25th in Brazil.<\/span><\/p>\n

5:00 pm : Conclusion.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

The I.L.C.F. will hold a Community Dinner <\/strong>at\u00a0a Lebanese Restaurant in\u00a0Celbridge airfield, on Saturday 14th evening,<\/strong> from 6 pm\u00a0till late.\u00a0Members of the Irish Lebanese Cultural Foundation\u00a0and their families along with dignitaries from the Irish Parliament and Friends will be attending.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sunday Morning: <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We will visit the Garden of Remembrance to lay wreaths for the 47 Irish Soldiers <\/strong>who died in Lebanon during 23 years of Peace Keeping attended by the Irish Veteran Associations,\u00a0followed by\u00a0Mass for Peace<\/strong> held by the Archbishop of Dublin at the pro Cathedral\u00a0attended by Officials.<\/span><\/p>\n

Final arrangements shall be confirmed at a later stage.<\/span><\/p>\n

RTE,TV3\u00a0and media\u00a0will be advised of the event and may seek radio of tv\u00a0interviews with the participants.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sunday afternoon:<\/span><\/strong> leaving.<\/span><\/p>\n

For non European passports detainees, a visa is required <\/strong>to visit Ireland (because Ireland is a non Schengen).<\/span><\/p>\n
