On Monday May 27, the WLCU participated to a Sit-in on Place Poelaert in Brussels, in response to the call from the Lebanese diaspora in Belgium, to ask the European Union to finance the return of Syrian refugees ( 40% of the Lebanese population) towards peaceful areas in Syria, or towards third countries, rather than financing their maintenance in Lebanon, because Lebanon can no longer support the weight of 2.5 million Syrians who colonize it and threaten its demographic balance and now constitute an existential threat to living together and to Lebanon.<\/p>\n

Le lundi 27 mai, l\u2019ULCM a particip\u00e9 \u00e0 un Sit-in sur la place Poelaert \u00e0 Bruxelles, en r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 l’appel de la diaspora libanaise en Belgique, d\u2019inciter l\u2019Union Europ\u00e9enne \u00e0 financer le retour des r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s Syriens (40% de la population libanaise) vers des zones apais\u00e9es en Syrie, ou vers des pays tiers, plut\u00f4t que de financer leurs maintien au Liban, car le Liban ne peut plus supporter le poids de 2,5 millions de Syriens qui le colonisent et menacent son \u00e9quilibre d\u00e9mographique et constituent d\u00e9sormais une menace existentielle pour le vivre ensemble et pour le Liban.<\/p>\n
