Dear WLCU officers and members,\u200e
\n\u200e \u200e
\nA WLCU delegation will visit Lebanon as each summer and will organize some activities in \u200eour mother country.\u200e<\/p>\n

Thus we have the pleasure to announce to you that a World Council will take place on \u200eThursday August 6th in Lebanon; the address will be announced later.\u200e<\/p>\n

On the Agenda:\u200e
\n\u200e- Coordinate the activities that will take place in Lebanon after August 6th.\u200e
\n\u200e- The third World Ladies Committee Meeting.\u200e
\n\u200e- follow up the resolutions of all the previous World Councils.\u200e
\n\u200e- follow up the participation in Miss Lebanon Emigrant.\u200e
\nAs well as
\n\u200e- The preparation of the Next World Congress meeting, scheduled for 23 to 25 of October \u200e\u200e2009 in Mexico.\u200e
\n\u200e- The 50th anniversary of the WLCU to be help in Mexico on the same dates.\u200e<\/p>\n

For those who couldn\u2019t attend the last World Council Meeting in Vancouver, I invite you to \u200euse the following link\u00a0\u00a0 www.wlcu.com<\/a> to be informed about the resolutions and all the events \u200ethat took place in Vancouver and Victoria, as well as the latest activities of the WLCU in the \u200eworld.\u200e<\/p>\n

In the name of the World Council, I would like to address a special thank to The \u200eAmbassador Massoud Maalouf and the poet Henry Zgheib who attended the events\u00a0 and \u200emany Thanks to\u00a0 WLCU BC council officers and members who worked hard to accomplish these \u200eevents (Georges Rouhana, Jamale Zarifeh and her Family,Georges and Michel Murr, Nick \u200eKahwaji, Najib Asfar, Carlo Rahal, Jean Abou Samra and Richard Lammam, as well as many \u200eofficers, members and friends who attended the 3 days events), beside of the President of The \u200eRegional Council of North America, Mr Elias Kassab for hosting the World Council.\u200e<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

July 7th is the deadline to vote for Jeita Grotto to remain in the first 11 of Group D in the \u200econtest of the \u00ab 7 wonders of Nature \u00bb and to be able to access to the 3rd phase of the contest. \u200e
\nYou have one voice, and you have seven choices.\u200e \u200e (Please try to vote to nominees not \u200ecompetitors to us in the group D).\u200e
\nYou can only vote one time with one e-mail address during each phase: so if you cast \u200eyour \u200evotes during the first phase (that ended on December 31, 2008), you can vote again.\u200e
\nThe selection will be announced on 21 July 2009, and the 21 Official Finalists will then \u200eenter \u200ethe third and final phase to vote and choose the Official New7Wonders of Nature.\u200e
