During this summer in Lebanon, the WLCU-Y, led by the Chilean Nissrin Esber, is conducting certain activities under the eaves of a peace campaign entitled # Youth4PEACE.<\/p>\n

There are three activities in order to contribute to peace in various subjects. The first was held on August 3 at the Cedars of Lebanon, where commissions USA, France, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Brazil and Venezuela, adopted cedars in the reserve “Friends of the cedar forest.” With the presence of the World President of the WLCU, Alejandro Kuri Pheres, and the Secretary General, Toni Kaddissi, the World Council for Youth adopted a total of 18 cedars on behalf of each of the chapters of their respective countries.<\/p>\n
The symbolic act sowed the basis of what will be in the future a project to be far-reaching, thus contributing to the reforestation of the extinct \u201ctree of God\u201d.<\/p>\n
On August 7, the youth will gather in “Hayda Lebanon” Zaaroor, two days before the opening of the “village of the emigrants,” as the owner of the place, Fady Bou Dagher, calls it. The meeting aims to create a link between young people of Lebanon and the youth of the emigration, to create a project together that can be implemented next year in Lebanon during the World Congress for Youth that this is already being organized.<\/p>\n
To end the season for the campaign #Youth4PEACE, the young Lebanese of the emigration were invited by Roger Edd\u00e9 to spend a day at the resort Edd\u00e9 Sands, where they will conduct various activities for peace, including “the Wall of peace”, an initiative that will be guided by the young Lebanese-Chilean painter, Bechara Baroudi.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
