Letter received from Hon. Stockwell Day, Canadian Minister of Public Safety.
On october 27th, 2006, a reception was held for Minister Stockwell Day at the residence of WLCU Regional President of USA-Canada Mr George El Murr (see photo). The World Council presented Min. Day the Platinum Emigrante award in recognition of the Canadian government’s humanitarian efforts to secure the safe return of the Canadian Lebanese families from Lebanon during the Israeli-Hizballah war in July 2006.
