Next World Council in Las Vegas on April 19th, & Other Activities – 10 March 2008

1- March is the Month of the Lebanese emigrant.
A letter to send to the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs in your country
 On this occasion, the WLCU launched a campaign consisting of delivering this month a letter to the Ministries of Foreign Affairs all over the world in aim to ask the International Community to make more efforts to rescue the Lebanese Republic and help that the elections of a new President of the Republic take place. Each National Council will receive its copy. Then it is invited to make a delegation to visit the ministry and deliver the letter. 

2- The next World Council will be held in Las Vegas – USA on April 19th.
Its theme is “Financing the WLCU world activities”
 Please prepare your studies and suggestions and sent them before March 31st to Mr Tony Yacoub, WLCU advisor for financing affairs on tyacoub.wlcu@optusnet.com.auOn the other hand, we invite you to make contacts with companies which would interested in according discounts for a WLCU discount Card that we are going to issue.The World Council will be preceded by a the meeting of the regional Council of North America which will be held on April 18th  in the same place.

3- The first World Congress for the Ladies from Lebanese descent will take place in Sao Paulo – Brazil on June 6th and 7th.
Please try to inform all the concerned ladies and get the biggest number of attendees.
 

4- February 29th was the deadline to pay 2007 dues. As most of the Regional Councils didn’t receive the Chapters dues yet, We extend this deadline to March 31st.  We invite all the Chapters to do it as soon as possible. 

5- The WLCU will be organising Miss Lebanon Emigrant in each country of the world, where it is not organised yet. Please inform us if you are interested in organising this event, to get the rights for you. Deadline for the elections abroad : end of June. WLCU France will organise these elections on May 24th. 

6- Invitation to the meeting of the Regional Council for Europe which will be held on Saturday April 5th in Paris in presence of the World President M. Elie Hakme.
