LA UNIÓN CULTURAL ARGENTINO LIBANESA PARTICIPARÁ DEL FORO SOCIAL MUNDIAL EN NEPAL 🇱🇧🇦🇷
Les queremos comunicar que, a partir de enviar una propuesta de workshop, la UNIÓN CULTURAL ARGENTINO LIBANESA participará del Foro Social Mundial a llevarse a cabo en Katmandú, Nepal, entre los días 15 y 19 de febrero próximos. La presentación y dinámica estará a cargo de nuestra responsable nacional de Educación y Cultura, la Lic. Marcela Guerci Nedir, quien trabajará sobre la problemática del rol de las instituciones que representan las colectividades resultantes de la inmigración hacia América a comienzos del siglo XX. Se trata de hacer hincapié en el papel fundamental de resguardo del patrimonio cultural de origen y de la diversidad en las diferentes pertenencias culturales ante la homogeneización de los procesos de globalización. Se expondrá como principal referencia la experiencia de la migración libanesa a Argentina y la trayectoria de sus descendientes en el sostenimiento de la identidad.
El Foro Social Mundial fue creado en 1999 y llevado a cabo por primera vez en Brasil, en 2001. Tiene el propósito de reunir organizaciones y movimientos sociales que discutan y analicen propuestas sobre un mundo igualitario, empeñadas en la construcción de una sociedad planetaria orientada a una relación fecunda entre los seres humanos y de estos con la Tierra. Pretende intensificar la reflexión, realizar el debate democrático de ideas, elaborar propuestas, establecer el libre intercambio de experiencias y articular acciones eficaces por parte de entidades y movimientos de la sociedad civil, brindando un espacio abierto hacia la expresión del pluralismo cultural y alternativo a las hegemonías existentes.
Marcela, por su parte, pertenece a UCAL Olavarría y es licenciada en Antropología Social, con más de treinta años de trayectoria en docencia e investigación en la Universidad Nacional del Centro de la Provincia de Buenos Aires (UNICEN). Es codirectora del proyecto de rescate y puesta en valor del patrimonio libanés, surgido de un convenio entre la UNICEN y la Sociedad Libanesa de Olavarría. Desde el año pasado es la responsable nacional de Educación y Cultura de UCAL.
THE ARGENTINE LEBANESE CULTURAL UNION WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE WORLD SOCIAL FORUM IN NEPAL 🇱🇧🇦🇷
We would like to inform you that, after sending a workshop proposal, the ARGENTINE-LEBANESE CULTURAL UNION will participate in the World Social Forum to be held in Kathmandu, Nepal, between February 15 and 19. The presentation and dynamics will be in charge of our national head of Education and Culture, Marcela Guerci Nedir, who will work on the problem of the role of the institutions that represent the collectivities resulting from immigration to America at the beginning of the twentieth century. It is a question of emphasizing the fundamental role of safeguarding the cultural heritage of origin and the diversity of the different cultural belongings in the face of the homogenization of globalization processes. The main reference will be the experience of Lebanese migration to Argentina and the trajectory of its descendants in sustaining their identity.
The World Social Forum was created in 1999 and held for the first time in Brazil in 2001. Its purpose is to bring together organizations and social movements that discuss and analyze proposals for an egalitarian world, committed to the construction of a planetary society oriented to a fruitful relationship between human beings and between them and the Earth. It aims to intensify reflection, carry out the democratic debate of ideas, develop proposals, establish the free exchange of experiences and articulate effective actions by civil society entities and movements, providing an open space for the expression of cultural pluralism and alternative to existing hegemonies.
Marcela, on the other hand, belongs to UCAL Olavarría and has a degree in Social Anthropology, with more than thirty years of experience in teaching and research at the National University of the Center of the Province of Buenos Aires (UNICEN). She is co-director of the project for the rescue and enhancement of Lebanese heritage,
which arose from an agreement between UNICEN and the Lebanese Society of Olavarría. Since last year she has been the national head of Education and Culture at UCAL.
