Dr. Charles Malik Award – WLCU Sydney, Australia Global Initiative

The WLCU Sydney is proud to introduce the Dr. Charles Malik Award that officially launched on the 15th of January 2022. This will be a global annual writing competition open to all persons aged 15 years and over.

The Award is named in honour of Dr. Charles Malik, the first United Nations Ambassador for Lebanon who also contributed to the drafting of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948.

Entries will be sought for individuals to prepare an essay on a topic of choice in accordance with the requirements outlined in the Dr. Charles Malik Award Rules.

The WLCU Sydney Dr. Charles Malik Award competition will close on the 30th of September 2022 and winners will be formally presented at the WLCU Sydney Dr. Charles Malik Award Ceremony on 22 November 2022 (Lebanese Independence Day). As well, the winners will also be announced at the WLCU Sydney En Route to Beirut Event.
