Dear WLCU officers and members,
A WLCU delegation will visit Lebanon as each summer and will organize some activities in our mother country.
Thus we have the pleasure to announce to you that a World Council will take place on Thursday August 6th in Lebanon; the address will be announced later.
On the Agenda:
- Coordinate the activities that will take place in Lebanon after August 6th.
- The third World Ladies Committee Meeting.
- follow up the resolutions of all the previous World Councils.
- follow up the participation in Miss Lebanon Emigrant.
As well as
- The preparation of the Next World Congress meeting, scheduled for 23 to 25 of October 2009 in Mexico.
- The 50th anniversary of the WLCU to be help in Mexico on the same dates.

Last World Council:
For those who couldn’t attend the last World Council Meeting in Vancouver, I invite you to use the following link www.wlcu.com to be informed about the resolutions and all the events that took place in Vancouver and Victoria, as well as the latest activities of the WLCU in the world.
In the name of the World Council, I would like to address a special thank to The Ambassador Massoud Maalouf and the poet Henry Zgheib who attended the events and many Thanks to WLCU BC council officers and members who worked hard to accomplish these events (Georges Rouhana, Jamale Zarifeh and her Family,Georges and Michel Murr, Nick Kahwaji, Najib Asfar, Carlo Rahal, Jean Abou Samra and Richard Lammam, as well as many officers, members and friends who attended the 3 days events), beside of the President of The Regional Council of North America, Mr Elias Kassab for hosting the World Council.
Last chance to vote for Jeita Grotto in the 7 wonders of Nature to remain in the contest
July 7th is the deadline to vote for Jeita Grotto to remain in the first 11 of Group D in the contest of the « 7 wonders of Nature » and to be able to access to the 3rd phase of the contest.
You have one voice, and you have seven choices. (Please try to vote to nominees not competitors to us in the group D).
You can only vote one time with one e-mail address during each phase: so if you cast your votes during the first phase (that ended on December 31, 2008), you can vote again.
The selection will be announced on 21 July 2009, and the 21 Official Finalists will then enter the third and final phase to vote and choose the Official New7Wonders of Nature.
We ask you to vote and forward to all your friends and family to make the same.
Take this issue seriously as it is a national concern that we all have to share and contribute for its success.

You can proceed by one of the 2 following ways:

2- Fill in the blanks your e-mail address
3- Choose your nominees: in the box beside Vote 1, choose Asia as a first step. When you choose Asia, a list of nominees will appear in a new box.
Choose the Jeita Grotto as Vote 1.
Optional: For the other votes choose any nominees in your hosting country or whatever you like. What is important is to choose Lebanon as your first nomination.
An e-mail is going to be sent to your account for confirmation.
