NNA- The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, affirmed that “enhancing communication with the younger generation of Lebanese emigrants is an important factor in maintaining relations between Lebanon’s residents and the Lebanese diaspora,” pointing out that “Lebanese expatriates are a strong pillar for the Lebanese economy due to their attachment to their homeland and their support for their families during the difficult times Lebanon has gone through.”
President Aoun’s statement came during his meeting at the Baabda Palace with the world president of the WLCU, Mr. Roger Hani, the world Secretary General, Mr. George Abi Raad, the President of the World Youth Council, Mrs. Guadalupe Bolanos, and the Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Christian Nasr. They briefed him on the organization of the World Youth Council, which, as usual every two years, arranges a visit for youth to Lebanon under the initiative known as Lebolution. This year, around 120 young men and women, of Lebanese descent, will visit Lebanon, coming from various countries of the diaspora. Their visit itinerary includes sightseeing, cultural, and historical landmarks, covering all Lebanese regions.
The delegation requested “that this activity be under the patronage of the President of the Republic, as the visit coincides with the meeting of the WLCU World Council in Beirut.”
Mr. Hani told President Aoun: “Your support enables the Youth Council to continue its mission of bringing youth of Lebanese descent and strengthening Lebanese cultural ties in their hearts so that they return to their communities as messengers of love and support for Lebanon. May God bless you and grant you strength and wisdom in your rescue mission.”

وطنية – اكد رئيس الجمهورية العماد جوزاف عون “أن تفعيل التواصل مع الجيل الشاب من المغتربين اللبنانيين عامل مهم للمحافظة على العلاقات بين لبنان المقيم ولبنان المنتشر”، لافتاً الى “ان المغتربين اللبنانيين دعامة قوية للاقتصاد اللبناني بفعل تعلقهم بوطنهم الام والوقوف الى جانب اهلهم خلال الظروف الصعبة التي مر بها لبنان”.
كلام الرئيس عون جاء خلال استقباله بعد ظهر اليوم في قصر بعبدا الرئيس العالمي للجامعة اللبنانية الثقافية في العالم السيد روجيه الهاني،والامين العام العالمي السيد جورج ابي رعد، ورئيسة المجلس العالمي للشبيبة السيدة غوادالوبي بولانوس ونائب الامين العام العالمي السيد كريستيان نصر، الذين اطلعوه على تنظيم مجلس الشبيبة العالمي في الجامعة اللبنانية الثقافية في العالم، وكعادته كل سنتين، زيارة للشبيبة الى لبنان، بما يعرف بنشاط Lebolution، يزور فيها حوالي 120 شابة وشاب متحدّرين وطنهم الام، وهم قادمون من مختلف بلدان الاغتراب، وعلى جدول زياراتها المعالم السياحية والثقافية والتاريخية، وتشمل المناطق اللبنانية كلها .
وتتضمن الزيارة ايضاً نشاطات ترفيهية وبعض الاعمال الإنسانية. وبدأ هذا النشاط سنة 2015 ويحتفل هذه السنة بيوبيله العاشر ومن المقرر ان تبدأ زيارة الشبيبة هذه السنة في 19 تموز وتستمر حتى 29 منه.
وطلب الوفد “ان يكون هذا النشاط تحت رعاية رئيس الجمهورية اذ تتزامن الزيارة مع اجتماع المجلس العالمي في الجامعة في بيروت”.
وقال السيد الهاني للرئيس عون: “ان دعمكم يمكّن مجلس الشبيبة من الاستمرار في مهمته لجمع الشبيبة المتحدّرين ولتقوية الاواصر الثقافية اللبنانية في قلوبهم فيعودون الى جالياتهم رسل محبة ودعم للبنان. وفقكم الله تعالى واسدل عليكم القوة والحكمة في مسيرتكم الانقاذية”
