World Lebanese Cultural Union
The World Lebanese Cultural Union (WLCU) expresses its strong condemnation and denunciation of the horrific terrorist incident that targeted innocent people in the Australian city of Sydney, specifically in the Bondi Beach area, which resulted in casualties and injuries.
The WLCU, which represents the Lebanese communities abroad spread across the world, considers these terrorist acts a blatant assault on:
- The sanctity of human life and the right of individuals to security.
- The values of peaceful coexistence and respect for the other, which have long characterized Australian society.
The WLCU affirms its absolute and unequivocal rejection of any practices or ideas that incite violence, hatred, or terrorism, which aim to provoke discord and threaten social security and national stability.
The WLCU also emphasizes its full solidarity with Australia, its leadership and people, and with the Lebanese community and all other communities residing there, in the face of these destructive phenomena. The WLCU supports all efforts aimed at preserving security and stability and promoting dialogue and understanding among all components of the diverse society.

بيان صادر عن الجامعة اللبنانية الثقافية في العالم
إدانة واضحة للاعتداء الإرهابي في بوندي بيتش في استراليا
تُعرب الجامعة اللبنانية الثقافية في العالم، برئاسة الأستاذ روجيه هاني، عن إدانتها واستنكارها الشديدين للحادث الإرهابي المروع الذي استهدف الأبرياء في مدينة سيدني الأسترالية، وتحديداً في منطقة شاطئ بوندي، والذي أدى إلى سقوط ضحايا وإصابات.
إن الجامعة، التي تمثّل الجاليات اللبنانية المنتشرة في مختلف أنحاء العالم، تعتبر هذه الأعمال الإرهابية اعتداءً سافراً على:
• قدسية الحياة الإنسانية وحق الأفراد في الأمن.
• قيم التعايش السلمي واحترام الآخر التي لطالما ميّزت المجتمع الأسترالي.
وتؤكد الجامعة رفضها القاطع والمطلق لأي ممارسات أو أفكار من شأنها التحريض على العنف أو الكراهية أو الإرهاب، التي تهدف إلى إثارة الفتنة وتهديد الأمن الاجتماعي والاستقرار الوطني.
كما تُشدّد الجامعة اللبنانية الثقافية في العالم على تضامنها الكامل مع أستراليا، قيادة وشعباً، ومع الجالية اللبنانية وسائر الجاليات المقيمة هناك في وجه هذه الظواهر الهدّامة. وتدعم الجامعة كل الجهود الرامية إلى حفظ الأمن والاستقرار وتعزيز الحوار والتفاهم بين جميع مكونات المجتمع المتنوع.
